Have you ever noticed people are only interested in having certain people interested in them?

An asker may read your answer, but they pay closer attention and perk up when someone they are interested in answers..

Does it make you feel like you wasted your time? Or do you answer in hopes someone you yourself are interested in wants to hear your answer some day?

Update:

Hi CC..thanks for stopping by..hope you find what you seek in the dating section. I'm just here killing time 'cause my husbands not speaking to me at the moment. Guess you don't give marital advice?

Hello HH, Wish I was there. I love seminars. I'm gonna make that one of my "things to do" this year.

Update 2:

Epistemology: I do somewhat the similar. I spent 5 whole hours the other night answering a question on here and erasing the answer over and over and over. I found myself a new career, if I wanted, by the time I was done.

Of course I did not post the answer after all that..to do so would have been pointless.

I'm sure you know what I mean.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Update 3:

Arimesis: Love your enthusiasm(not talking about the answer) but your passion for life..

Shih Tzu" We can see each other that's how.

You' may understand that someday I hope.

I have noticed that the best answer does not always get selected by the asker. Reasons must be varied.

I do not answer to seek someone's approval. I answer as a way to expand my knowledge, because evaluating questions forces me to rethink what I know. Whether someone else profits by my effort is good, but it runs a distant second.

That said, I am disappointed when an obviously lacking answer gets recognized. Oh, I do not mind when someone else answers better than me, that risk comes with the territory. I do not mind when the asker chooses as best answer an answer other than mine, it could be that someone else's formulation was better than mine for the asker.

I do mind when the asker did not put an effort in evaluating the answers. He/she asked others to put an effort to produce an answer, and these others deserve an effort from the asker.

I was in an empty conference room (no furniture) with thirty people at a seminar on Psychiametry, and the presenters asked us to envision the person in the room we most wanted to get to know, spend time with. Then they asked us to go and put our hand on that person's shoulders.

The result was a giant constellation with persons ABCD linked, A picking B, B picking C and C picking D. There were five matching arcs like this linked to two guys in the center; the ONLY TWO PEOPLE WHO PICKED EACH OTHER.

Friendship is attractive, and most people are chasing folks whose attention is elsewhere.

If you form a mutual friendship in here, you will find that it creates a cluster of folks that want to share in it. Friendship begets friendship and chasing those who are not interested in you creates more of that.

I do it mainly because of the last reason.

My answer may someday save someone's life (oh wait, I only answer in Singles and Datings).

I haven't really hung out anywhere else.

    Hope this helps/answers your question.

EDIT: Yes, I do. Singles & Dating is easier to answer because it is mainly ran by trolls who repeat questions and clueless teenagers (no offense to the clueless teenagers). But, whatever, I really do not care if someone chooses me or not, votes my answer down or up, I really don't. If you are having an issue with this, get off Y!A? and try Bingo.

Now a question for you is, does Devilia wear Prada?

I hope this makes some sense later in life. . .

You mean like you just did? No. I don't care who reads, likes, or dislikes my answers. I'm not here to impress anyone. How could you be 'interested' in anyone on any anonymous forum?
