When I do squats is it normal to feel pressure/strain in my knees?
I'm 18 and female. Whenever I do squats I feel a kind of strain in my knees. It's not painful and it's not muscle burn... It just doesn't feel right? Is this normal? Any suggestions on avoiding it?
I don't squat with weights and I weigh about 140lbs... if that helps with your answer...

This has happened to me before. It's probably because of your squatting technique. When you squat, see if your knees go inward at all and that might be it. I use to catch when I was a kid and my physical therapist said that my knee coming inward when I squat and that was the reason why there was an extra strain on my knees. It's really common among women because it has something to do with the hips or something like that. Just check that and see if it works.
