VLSM help with finding host address.?

If the address 10.10.0.0/20 is subnetted by borrowing 3 bits, what is the address of the first

host in the last subnet?

How would you work this out and what answer did you get?

I'm struggling so much on this one question. Thanks

(a) 10.10.255.254

(b) 10.10.23.254

(c) 10.10.14.1

(d) 10.10.15.1

    The answer is

    e) 10.10.240.1

    But wait, who's borrowing 3 bits? Is the /20 supposed to be subnetted or is it already subnetted and borrowed the bits? lol... So should it end up being a /23? If so it would be,

    f) 10.10.254.1

    Okay I give up
