What its up Internet! I'm "HeySQL" and as many of use can guess I'm a expert with computers! I build websites, programs, computers and the list just goes on! I do other hobbies aswell! Like swimming and cycling. I'm currently coming to the end of my first year in university studying computer engineering! I DO NOT and will NOT do your homework for you. I'm just going to simply ignore those questions from now on. Try it yourself, when you get stuck then post a question here! Not ask us to do it all for you

  • Who should be responsible if something fails within warranty?

    I purchased a product of amazon about 2 years ago. A computer processor. Recently the processor failed on its own. Literally just wouldn't work one day. When I purchased the product it came with a 3 year warranty and of course as it was done over amazon I still have the receipt and proof of the warranty.

    I contacted the seller and there basically saying I need to talk to the manufacturer. I said its something they need to sort out not the manufacturer as I brought it from them and told them this was backed up by the sales of goods act.

    Theyve contacted me saying what Im saying is right only if its up to two years. So if it failed within two years they'd rectify the issue....anything after..its the manufacturer.

    Are they lying through their teeth and what should I do?

  • Never had a girlfriend before so not sure if this girl is on me or not?

    I met a girl at work back last October and over the year the two of us have become quite good friends. She resigned from the job back in July and we've still been in good contact ever since.

    She has a bubble personality and gets along with everyone and anyone. Sometimes people do think she likes them because of so.

    Recently things between us have picked up. Before her resignation she use to go around telling people that we were dating and im the reason that she had to leave....of course in a joking way. Snapchat and pictures are also things she loves taking especially of the two of us and shes added love hearts etc etc to them too.

    I thought maybe I'd ask her to hangout just the two of us, we were good on it but my first plan she changed her mind last minute and would make up excuses to not go out together as the two of us in terms of hanging out so I've just stopped asking.

    We also have a group opened on whatsapp with me her and some other mates....I had to leave the group due to some phone issues and she privately asked me why i left and when i didnt reply for twenty minutes wrote "fine ignore me".

    When I re-enetered and did explain to her why, she wasn't in the group either and i was told she left randomly after me. Were both back in now and resumed normal conversations.

    I'm not sure whether she likes me or not with these signs.....what should I do? Do I ask?

  • I'm getting mixed signals from a girl that may or may not like me. I do like her so I don't know how to react.?

    I've known a girl that use to work with me in a store since October. I believe since then we've grown quite close over the year especially in the recent months.

    I realised about this girl is she has a bubble personality. Like she would flirt with people but not in a serious way and I haven't let that affect me.

    Over the last few months things just picked up. Literally she started telling people in the store we worked at "were dating" and when she did resign she gave her reason as dating me. shortly after she changed it. She also loved to take picture with me. The way she took pictures with me wasn't how she'd do it with anyone else. She'd edit my pictures on snapchats with love hearts and even wrote "my girlfriend" and stuff. These things weren't done with anyone else.

    I thought maybe I'd ask her to hangout just the two of us, we were good on it but my first plan she changed her mind last minute and would make up excuses to not go out together as the two of us in terms of hanging out so I've just stopped asking.

    I don't know where to go from here. Should I walk away for good and just be friends. Should I confront her and see what she really wants?

  • solving a maths equation: 2020 = 1600(1+i)^7.5 ^7.5 is to power of?

    ive managed to break it down so far too:

    0.0135 = log(1+i).

    i know i should be 0.0316 but struggling to get to that answer.

  • calculating cycle time from MHz -> nanoSeconds?

    Want to double check my logic is right

    .

    lets say 10MHz to ns.

    T = 1/10x10^6

    T(in seconds) = 1x10^-7

    therefore in ns = 100ns ?

  • why does a smaller nanosecond require a higher clock speed?

    Lets say I have two instruction times

    a -> 266ns

    b -> 1ns

    If i convert to GHz, 266nS takes 0.00376GHz wheereas 1nS takes 1GHz.

    so why does 1ns need more clock speed?

  • calculating clock speed with cycle time?

    Lets say for example I had a cycle time of 266nS and wanted it in Mhz

    Would I first convert 266ns to seconds so I have.....0.000000266

    then I do 1/0.000000266 = 37593989.496Hz

    to make it Mhz i do 37593989.496Hz x 10^6?

  • A friend who gave me her USB to copy files onto forgot to delete her honeymoon pictures?

    Basically I liked this girl who's 20 and is my age but married. Since I met her back in September she claims she knew about it and it did help the pair of us when I came clean.

    She missed a lecture recently and I did record the lecture for her but the video length is over a whooping 2gbs far too big to be sent over any messaging hence why she gave me her USB. I did notice her deleting items and stuff and took no notice. were really close friends.

    Her usb had a folder on it which had her honeymoon pictures. Theres pics of her and her husband and her in her bikini.

    Im so worried on what to do. I've stupidly copied the file to my desktop but why I dont know?

    Trying to understand the difference between the 2.

    Reading up online I believe one is affected by clock edge, whilst the other changes input regardless of clock pulse?

    Could anyone explain what one is effected by clock and if I'm on the right lines

  • Are these batteries enough to power a circut for 15mins?

    8 AA batteries each rated as 1.5V and 2000mAh are connected in series.

    iii) Can these batteries provide enough power to drive a circuit that requires a constant 8 amps current supply for 15 minutes?

    Would anyone be able to explain what the answer is and how they got it. Thanks!

  • PIC ADC and Distance Sensor?

    Would appreciate if anyone could help me out on this question.

    A distance sensor is attached to an 8-bit ADC with a reference voltage Vref set to 5V. The latency of the sensor is 10ms. The distance sensor is placed on the side of the micro-mouse to measure a distance range from 2cm to 4cm. The sensors output response is linear. At a distance of 2cm from an object the output voltage is 3.5v and at the maximum distance of 30cm the output voltage is 0.5v.

    a) Would the sensor described above be a good choice if the desired maximum step rate of the micro-mouse is 200 steps/s? Justify your answer.

    b) Is the voltage range of the sensor suitable for the ADC described? Justify you answer.

  • working out voltage and amp on batteries?

    Wondering what formula I can use to answer this question.

    Q. 5 AA batteries each rated as 1.5V and 1000mAh are connected in series.

    a) What is the total voltage supplied by these batteries.

    I'm guessing to work out total voltage you do 1.5 x 5 = 7.5volts.

    b) What will be the ampere hour rating of this series combination of batteries?

    For this I think you do 1000 x 5 = 5000mAh? I'm not sure on that

    c) Can these batteries provide enough power to drive a mechanical motor that requires a constant 8 amps current supply for 15 minutes if each of the 5 batteries rated at 1.5v and 2000mAh.

    Not sure how I would work that out. Really appreciate any help.

    I think I got part a working correctly. Not sure on the rest

  • can two vlans have the same subnet?

    Have issue where I'm making two vlans for two departments. Both departments have 30 hosts therefore both when VLSM kicks in will go under the same subnet. But both departments need to be under a different vlan

    Will it be physically possible to have this done?
