Rowento iron does not clean up with "special cleaner"?
Has anyone else had problems cleaning off the stainless pad on a rowento iron.I followed the instructions and used the whole tube of cleaning paste and it still had stuff on it that would cause the iron to stick to the clothes I am ironing?.

I've had a Rowenta for almost 15 years and haven't had to clean the sole plate yet. What is stuck to yours?
It's usually melted fabric. Try turning the iron on high and ironing an old towel. That usually removes anything stuck to an iron. If it's starch, wash it with a rough cloth and water when the iron is cold.
