A question for both Christians and Jehovah Witnesses?

Colossians 1 says in the Greek says that Jesus created all things. The New World Translation says Jesus created all "other" things. Who should we believe? Believe God or the JW's perversion of the Bible?

And you are absolutely sure that the version you are reading is correct are you?

If its the KJV it has an extremely poor record of mistranslation, omission, additions to the scriptures (most notoriously 1John 5:7 which most bible versions now leave out or add a footnote to explain it was added only in medieval times), it has punctuation added to try to prove points and has of course removed the name of God Almighty 7000 times.

SO, if thats the version of the Bible you trust - think again. The NWT has been independently acknowledged as the most accurate version available.

Colossians 1:16 in NWT it add the word [other] in the scripture.. despite its being completely absent from the original Greek text , instead of what the text says, “all things were created by Christ.” ( this is very clear that this is done to support their Watctower's leader personal "statement" that Christ is a created being and not Almighty God )

The insertion of the word “other” four times in Colossians 1:16-17 does not contribute to smoother reading ( as claim by WTS ) but rather changes entirely the meaning ( All [other] things) to justified their Heretic Arianism views that Jesus was a Created being,

Here a Question for JW Apologist from ( http://www.bible.ca/jw-questions.htm )

    ========================

Colossians 1:16 in NWT in talking about Jesus, says that "... All [other] things have been created through him and FOR HIM". If Jesus was Michael the Archangel at the time of creation, would an angel have created all things for himself?

Not to mention Issiah 43:7 says God created "everyone ... for my OWN glory...".

This verse as shown by www.bible.ca in the bible that it is impossible to argue that Christ was created first by "Jehovah" and then "Jehovah" creating other thing through Christ. This is supported by Genesis 1 and Ps 8 in the OT.

Not to Forget the Statement in the New Testament from John that "Christ Himself is the Creator of ALL THINGS ( John 1:3) and other statement ( Hebrew 1:2, 10 ,and Revelation 3:14) which speak Christ as the Creator,

    PS: Did you know

    1) In Jehovah's Witnessses first version of the NWT which they attribute the "Author of the Scriptures, God," ( The Watchtower, November 15, 1950, p. 454 ) Their 1950 New Wold Translation did not put brackets around four insertion of “other” four in Colossians 1:16-17. ?

Dear Witnesses do you know why the Letter was written?

    2) As point of by Bible Scholar and Theology around the world, Paul epistle or the Paul’s letter written in 62 A.D to "The house church in Colosse" known as Colossians during Paul’s imprisonment in Rome (around the same time he wrote his epistles to the Ephesians and Philippians) was wrote for another reason... ?

When Epaphras (founder of the Colossian church with Paul) arrived in Rome, he brought with him disturbing news from the Christian community in Colosse: non-Christian teachings were circulating within the Colossian church. The problem was syncretism: Jewish and Gentile beliefs and Greek philosophy and practices were being combined, creating a sort of hybrid religion that no longer resembled true Christianity.

More specifically, the heresy taking root in Colosse was a form of gnosticism, which taught (among other things) that humans could transcend evil and the corruptions of the world through asceticism and their own strength of will. Gnostics believed that they could essentially ignore the world and follow their own desires and impulses. Paul wrote to the Colossian church to warn them away from error and reiterate the importance of the Christian ethic.

Paul's letter ( wrote to counter the Gnostic attack on the Person of Christ. ) challenges the believers in Colosse to look solely to the divinity of Jesus Christ, through whom we are all saved . In it, Paul refutes the gnostic heresy spreading throughout the Colossian church and presents Jesus as God, creator of the universe. He emphasizes the importance of the cross: Jesus is Savior, and only by his blood we are saved.

    Hi

The NWT contradicts itself here. It translates John 1:3 as "All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence".

Not even one thing. So, Jesus cannot be a created being. Oops...

To be consistent they would have to translate it as, "All [other] things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one [other] thing came into existence"

Although the brackets were removed from Colossians in the 2006 printing, (and stayed out in the 2013 revision) their Kingdom Interlinear Translation however clearly shows that "other" is not in the Greek.

Because of how verse 15 reads "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature"

It helps stop confusion when people like you want to try to prove Jesus is God. People like to take verses out of context. Meaning they would use verse 16 as a stand alone scripture and try to twist other people into thinking Jesus is God. But when you add in verse 15 it would show their ignorance. Or by putting in the word "other" it would stop them from using verse 16 as a stand alone scripture to try to prove their false doctrine of the Trinity or that Jesus is God.
