Can my cat stay in the car while I'm at work?
I'm having remodeling done to my house tomorrow. My concern is the noise will really scare my cat. I'm wondering if it will be okay to leave my cat in the car while I'm at work from 9 to 5. I don't have another place to leave him. The temps will be 35 in morning and a high of 55 and sunny so the weather should be okay. I've tried pet hotels but they are all closed today. My vet does not do boarding and I can't take off work because I took off 2 days last week for a family funeral. Any suggestions?

Yes but the car has to be in a safe place if the cat is loose in the car. Its a bit chilly tho. I'm assuming you will have a litter pan on the floor and food/water dishes? Do you plan on checking the cat lunch time to be sure he/she is ok?
And keep the carrier in the car open with a few towels for the cat to sleep in.

hmm sound good to me. You might just wanna leave him in there today for a little bit and watch how he reacts. If he's not freaking out, then he should be fine. You might want to take with you his food and water bowl and put it on one of the seats so he has something to do.

A new place can be stressful on a cat. Try looking for a pet sitter or maybe a friend?

Buy an appropriate container/cage it can stay in outdoors for the day where food and water can be placed inside.
