Why are many atheists so rude on this site?

why are so many religious folk so damn preachy? and why do they ask such provocative questions? religious folk act like it's a filthy/unsocialised/inectious disease catching plague to be an atheist. i think they're worse off than you

why can i not walk down a high street without a mormon pressing a leaflet in my hand?

why should I have to walk out of my way to avoid hearing a christian or catholic on his soapbox shouting his lungs out about some "guy that died for our sins" (who cannot be genetically proven) and there'll be a psalm number painted on his box. in my hometown he has a sign he pulls after his bike and a high vis jacket so you can't miss him. he sometimes catches the bus and hands out business cards saying jesus loves you.

why can i not enjoy a day off at home without some jehovah's witness knocking on my door with a copy of 'watchtower'?

If I want religion I'm well aware of a number of churches in my vicinity that I can go and visit.

I don't believe I'm a bad person just because I don't believe in the bible/qu'ran/any other holy book/scripture/text's version of god. and you shouldn't tar all atheists with the same brush.

Most of the "atheists" who respond on this site just love to see good Christians get their panties in a big knot by provoking them with sarcasm and witty remarks. If a Christian's faith is strong they should not be bothered by these remarks but if they have doubts then they get really angry and curse the "atheists" who are sitting back having a good chuckle.

Atheists murdered gays, witches, and anybody who refuses to believe in their religion by uncounted millions!

Oh wait, that might be another group. You're a Christian, yes? You base your life on a book that condones the above actions I listed. Your god literally made those vile atrocities laws, and if you believe your god is sinless, then they cannot be sins.

And please recognize the difference between a personal attack and your beliefs being criticized. I respect your right to believe in whatever you want, but I don't respect your beliefs. They don't deserve my respect. They're faith based beliefs that have been used to commit unfathomable destruction to the world.

It's not rude to explain your beliefs, is it? If it is, then go complain about the christians here, like yourself.

Same reasons their are so many rude Christians on this site: people are sometimes rude and disrespectful, regardless of their religion or lack thereof.

I respect your right to believe whatever you want however I do not and will not respect the belief itself.

Its simple if you don't want your belief mocked don't have such silly beliefs
