How does a man initiate a romantic encounter?
I've been reading up on the current story about British Lib Dem veteran campaign organiser Chris Rennard, who has been told how it is not done.
Yet, if you are a lonely middle-aged man, and the pretty girls are not exactly falling over you swooning, how does one get started, and yet still maintain a proper distance and respect?
What are the approved methods than even these four women activists could accept?
I never suggested that groping a girl was the way to a girl's heart. It is all so negative though, only being told what not to do, without suggesting anything positive.

Pretty girls are not attracted to lonely middle aged men.....unless he has a ton of dough.
They look for qualities that are advantageous to themselves.
If you are really lonely... start by seeking woman who have similar interests to yours & avoid
shallow "Pretty Girls" like the plague.
The old stereotypes are still true...
Men only want ONE thing.....sex.
Women only want ONE thing......the security that comes with a fat wallet.

Rennard expressed his interest by groping his female colleagues at work.
If you have been reading about his activities, then you must be aware that many women say they've dealt with this kind of thing from him. So it is troubling that you ask about methods that "even" his victims could accept.
If, until now, you have been confused about why groping people doesn't get you dates, then I think your first step should be to swing by your local kindergarten and ask for a refresher lesson on personal space.
