Was wondering if anyone knows where the front impact sensor for the airbag is on a 2005 caravan.Any info would be much appreciated.

I believe the sensors are on the front radiator supports.
But do be sure its the sensor causing the light to stay on (Faulty sensor) as other wiring issues could be going on here. Find a good mechanic or friend with a code reader to see what fault code is being offered up and go from there first!

then something is wrong with the airbag, it may be the clockspring in the steering column ot the airbag circuit connectors.
I guess the sensors are bolted on the frame that holds the radiator, be sure to disconnect the battery.

be sure to disconnect the battery.

No need to. When the airbag light is on, the airbags are dead. They won't deploy. Period.
