Living without intent, input please?
Been told that a lifestyle of living without intent is annoying.
Pros
Don't ever get disappointed
Accept things as they come
Easier to listen to people
Embarrassing the moment easier
No ignorance
No prejudiced
No desire to live to others expectations
Easier of being ones self
Cons
Well, I can't think of any. But that's where you would come in Provide your list email me if you would like clarity on any above Pros.
Don't get me wrong Goals are there, but they are subject to change if the path states it, as without intent all you can really do is let the waves take you where they may. With patients a the waves take you to the next step, so when you see it take it.
Joseph the Second: wouldn't know. Without intent there is no problems, just things that get in the way so you just look for the opening in the crowd to guide your next step.

-It might seem "annoying" to Those who live WITH Intent... But wouldn't That be THEIR "Problem"- & Not Yours ??! :)

You're viewing this in terms of pros and cons, so wouldn't it be safe to assume that some of your intent is to go with the pros? Perhaps you hold no true ideology, but that's not uncommon by any means. Even those who have ideals often have trouble connecting them to reality in a practical way, so "living with intent" is difficult even with that sort of intent in mind. Living without intent is impossible, even if you only ever go with the flow, there's still some intent behind your actions. So forge your own path and keep thinking. You'll figure things out.

Without intent you would never take an action and would be mindless and unconscious. How can you achieve this without death?
Well by definition it seems intent is part of a goal. You always have a goal whether you know it or not or you would think nothing and do nothing. Changing goals based on logic and evidence makes sense, but only if you know what the bigger principle is that the change is for(change goals based on something).

Good question and I give my understanding in this way to share with you:
When we see the flower we won't see the seed it growing from because it had been already sowed. Seed is the intention which came BEFORE the flower. After we were born, we become the "flowers", and there is no intention any more, there is only the acceptance of the result for that "intention". However, as "flower", we also carry the "seed", and this seed is keep sowing now and it will determine the future "flower" we will become (after death).

This is much easier said than done. Philosophizing it and living it are oceans apart. Having the patience (correct spelling) is perhaps one of the biggest challenges. One of the cons is that you should not expect others to follow the same philosophy or to partner with you unless they are more or less the same or accepting of it. Therefore plan on living alone much of your life. Likewise, if you seek employment, your employer is going to want to see some intent on the job. This duality may be difficult to juggle. Likewise if you become responsible for someone else. You cannot properly care for someone without some measure of intent.

I live rather like this... I see everything as a learning opportunity rather than a goal. This approach saves me angst from failure, because it just didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. The few bills I have get paid- I work when I can, and don't work at anything unless I enjoy it so much that I can set it as a priority with no pain.
I suspect people who live as you suggest live longer. At least, we have fun everyday which makes everything more worthwhile.

do you mean like living without desire?
you will likely have less stress which will plausibly lead to better health circumstances.
Yeah, you might be bored. Prescribe yourself some interesting goals, I say.
why not modify your original "live without intent" philosophy to just being adaptable in life? Take things as they come?
