I have attempted to ponder your question & discern the perspective from which it was asked.

Finally I gave up on that & decided right or wrong I can only truthfully answer from the place I stand now.

It all seems to be much simpler to me now.

What does the human mind conceal from man?

Love.

It conceals from us that love was our source & is our true state.

It sounds simplistic I know, & I doubt I could even explain the process that has brought me here.

Why the need for the concealment?

The realization that love is what you are & not just something that you feel changes your perspective so drastically one in danger of coming to Remembrance.

Maybe you meant the question in a esoteric way, but looking at it scientifically, we can easily answer the question and much research has been done on this.

There is the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. Basically, everything in the subconscious mind is hidden from you although it may spill out in your dreams at night. The subcon works much faster than the conscious mind and is used to do things you don't want to waste time on, such as controlling your movement when you walk or even when you drive. However, it also is capable of evaluation and some functions you may associate with the conscious mind.

If you are walking through the jungle and a tiger jumps out to eat you, you don't want to stand around for five minutes considering whether you should run or put up a fight and which direction to run etc etc. Therefore, the subcon takes over and you run like hell. This is the reason for concealment. In a word: evolution.

The obvious answer to #1 is things that it doesn't want to share with others. Looking at it like that, obvious examples come to mind such as withholding thoughts that would miscommunicate an idea or simply lying about something. So in response to the second question, it's not always that something needs to be concealed, but rather someone thinks it should be concealed. In other words, it may not truly be necessary to lie, but sometimes it's an easier way to do things, so people decide to lie. Not everything can be communicated as well, so when giving a piece of information would further confuse understanding, it's often withheld. All this said, you've really asked a very simple question in a rather complex way.

I would say that the human mind conceals knowledge or truth. Think about all the secrets you know that would cause others to hurt if they were revealed. Think about the truths that your subconscious conceals from you, because you are not ready to deal with the truth yet. We avoid reality. We drink or use drugs to escape it. The conscious mind does not want to know. Suppose you made a great discovery and suddenly found yourself wondering if mankind will use it for good or for evil. At that point you wish that you did not know that truth. As Alfred Nobel found out knowledge used to take lives causes the discoverer regret. Accordingly the mind could conceal some truths of this nature due to conscience. If the mind were able to know some things about the future, that too would be concealed because the human mind would not be able to handle it, nor society. In all we probably keep more things secret from others and from ourselves than we reveal. Hence knowledge is concealed.

A selfless ego tends to other humans before itself. It is a true innocence all humans should have simultaneously.

The human mind is connected to Nature in every sense of the word. Might reflect nature according to the Arcane Teachings.The brain is apparently connected to a World Brain of lots of other people and other beings.

Don't know about concealment but in order to function in this world, I just can't let everything in all the time. It's not smart to go to places that keep hurting me. But I want to stay open too. What we desire is often what ends up being revealed. Our strongest ones are what's put into action. If we chose a middle ground it's because we don't desire an outcome that's too extreme that we reason may be harmful in the long run. Reason and logic are the middle ground for Will and Desire.

What are revealed to a person reflects one's desire or desires one willed him/herself.

So in case my explanation is no good, you could look up the Arcane Teachings and see if that something you might like.

This is a very difficult question to answer, sorry if my answer is not satisfactory.

Our dreams never include us seeing ourselves from another man, meaning that we do not see our own faces in our dreams. I will also add that faces we see of any other man, is actually a part of your memory, that stranger's is actually not constructed by your brain.

You have several good answers, and I don't think a lengthy rebuttal would be read. I would suggest that the human mind, as opposed to the Mind that is in Christ, is doing exactly what we have told it to do: make us forget.

We turned our eyes away from the Truth so that we could hide, much as an ostrich sticks it's head in the sand. If we remembered our true identity we would return to it immediately. Such a move would be frightening to our human mind.

The mind conceals the true Self.

There is no need for concealment. We develope egos and then should learn to shed them, to control the mind so that it steps aside and reveals the true Self, the real gold.

We are always in a peaceful state, we just let our noisey minds conceal that peace. When we learn that the peaceful state is the best place to remain, we should refuse to give it up.

We can obain this peaceful "Self" by being as self-less as posible, with the exception of the one selfish act of refusing to give up our own peace.

Human can figure out God's truth via debate. Then Jesus can learn and select our humanity.
