Should everyone get a 35% wage increase if minimum wages are increased by that?

And work only 40 hours weekly.

Update:

Comment about a situation where an individual has incurred debt for educational expense but is earning only between $30 to $40 thousand annually say $15 to $20 hourly. Will not that individual believe they should receive an increase; despite whatever is said, prices will increase.

    I agree.

    This creates more inequality.

    Where does it end?

Minimum wage raised kill jobs - forever - and those remaining employed DO NOT EARN MORE once you account for increased cost of living.

Minimum wage level : Unemployment rate r=0.44 p<0.0025 (In plain English, when we raise the MW, expect about a 70% chance average unemployment will be HIGHER afterwards than it had been before - forever.)

Children, the ENTIRE Democrat caucus is demanding AT LEAST 35%

Bill Clinton raised the minimum wage and job growth SLOWED-DOWN

No. I think it would make sense to increase the wages of non-min wage workers as well to reduce turnover costs. But it's essential only for the very lowest paid people because that increase could mean the difference between poverty and living a somewhat decent live. A 35% increase for an employee making $20/hour does not have that same effect, as this employee is already being paid enough to live off of.

It wouldn't matter if the wages tripled, the cost of living would have to rise accordingly to make up for the increased cost of producing stuff. Been that way since history began.

You just don't get the idea I take it.

For people who just pay barely above minimum wage will have to give their employees raises. Or else they risk losing their trained employees!
