Why do people now say thin people are not attractive?
Now that there are so many songs and internet posts about how being curvy and big is sexy and how being thin is unattractive, do people ever think about how that makes smaller people feel? I am naturally thin and everyone makes fun of me for this. I dont understand how people can be upset for people making fun of them for being "overweight" and then make thin people feel horrible about themselves. I recently saw a picture of a thin model who was eating a dessert in the image. And someone commented on it that "shes really pretty but shes probably never eaten anything like that in her life". This really bothered me. Curvier people always say that all bodies should be loved but then they go and say things like "who wants a skinny girl when you can have a curvy woman". I dont understand how they can say these things. Can anyone explain it to me?

I am also naturally skinny and I don't take offence to this. The point is backlash against the propaganda that starving yourself is attractive. Someone is always going to get offended, but there isn't anything harmful that will come from your pain, do you know what I mean? Girls have literally starved themselves to death to become skinny. Praising curves is a new wave of "feminism" that is going around to remind people to accept full bodies which are really segregated. As a small person we don't have any of the troubles of a curvy, bigger structured woman. For example, did you know Aeropostale is phasing out sizes over 6 or 8 because they dont want "that kind of person" shopping there? That's absolutely sickening.
I agree that any kind of "self-esteem" propaganda should be all inclusive, however internet trends are often created to combat something, so specifying is necessary.
When it comes down to it, people need to realize there is no perfect, shape, size, gender or sexuality. We are all unique and that is how it should be, we should celebrate that.

Trust me, nobody's saying that. Of course, curvy people don't want to be treated as ugly outcasts, and if you look at the media, models and actresses are generally underweight, but this is considered desirable and attractive. If thin weren't "in," Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers would be out of business. And I don't believe the model eats dessert, either--if she does, she probably throws it right up.

Because they're NOT.
I don't want to **** a walking stick.
I don't like those weird looking thigh gaps.
I want a real woman, with curves like a woman, even if said woman has ,,soft" curves.
I like a little pouch on the stomach, I think it's cute.
Source(s): The real answer is, people have their preferences. I don't mean to be rude in any way, but I like what I like, and it frustrates me when skinny girls told my girlfriend she's too fat (she's 5'2 and 119). - Orla CLv 77 years ago
Scrawny is unattractive. By that I mean so skinny that you see the ribs. Thin is fine.

It's a mixture between obese and anorexic, people want people to be happy in their body's. I guess it's back to average.

They're insecure and feel better when they out others down. Just ignore it and talk to people who aren't douchebags
