How best to handle this situation?

I'm an atheist who lives in Scotland and over the last couple of weeks I've been annoyed by religious people. Normally when someone annoys me I fall back on the traditional Scottish response of swearing/mild violence.

In this instance I had no idea what to do because the irritants were American mormons. Seriously, I thought they were some made up thing by US comedians. The problem is that they are so nice and cheerful that I can't tell them to shove off. They were out in my street and it started to snow slightly so I invited them in for tea. Big mistake! They take that as a sign I can be won over. I've said I don't believe in god but they just won't quit. They seem to be here on some missionary cause and I get the feeling they'll be here a good while.

When jehovah's witnesses came to the door I got them to leave by declaring myself a satanist but I don't think it'll work this time. It was Burn's night recently and I gave them some haggis- sheep innards failed to repel them!

I don't really know much about mormons and I can't fight their lovely accents and shiny teeth. I feel like hurting them would be like slapping Bambi. I just can't do it. Someone please give me tips on getting rid of them.

Point out to them some Bible verses that say their religion is false and destructive, such as these:

Galatians 1:6-8 " I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or **an angel from heaven**, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed."
(Mormons believe "an angel from Heaven" called "Moroni" gave them the book of Mormon; JWs not only preach a different gospel, they use a phony pseudo-translation of the Bible called "New World" which maintains, as the Mormons do, that Jesus is not both Man and God, which leads me to...)

1 John 4:1-4 " Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that **does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world."
** an alternate Latin translation of the original text says here every spirit that "dissolves" Christ... meaning separating His divine and human natures and denying either or both. Both Mormons and JWs do this.

I think you are being unfair here, you paint a picture of Scots as being small minded, ignorant violent BIGOTS and that is not in keeping with the Scottish people I have met.  I know there must be some people like you are describing in Scotland, and you may well be one of them, however I think you must be a troll trying to make Scots look like ignorant neanderthals and that is just not fair to neanderthals

I am not a Scot but I would like to say that this CREATURE is just trying to make people that live in Scotland look stupid and I don't buy that those that move or are born North of the border are as pathetic as (s)he is making you look with this sorry (and worse unfunny) attempt at humour.
