R&S folks, Does anyone else have a constant "radio" playing music in their mind 24 hours daily?

I am not a "nutcase". I have degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Education. I have always been a lover of all styles of music. I have always got a song playing in my mind. When I taught school I was always singing or whistling when I was not teaching. I sang or whistled on the way to and from my job(s) also. Is it normal for a person to constantly have such "music constantly playing" in one's mind? I guess this may seem a bad place for this question but I respect many in this forum and appreciate whatever each one of you has to say on this topic. Have a great week!

Thank You,

Agnostic Libertarian,

The degrees honestly don't make any difference at all. I worked many different jobs simultaneously while teaching to support our family. It seems that one song leads to another and another...

Update 3:

Answerers,

Well, I feel better knowing there are others out there with this condition. I have ALWAYS had songs in my head. My dad used to repair televisions and I went with him everywhere. He whistled and sang from one house to the next. He had a large service area, a good voice and knew many different songs of different genres. I enjoy all styles of music. I heard many different commercials and TV Theme songs in the 60s. Have a great week!

Absolutely! I've always got songs in my head of various genres, and I'm a songwriter as well, so original tunes sometimes run through my brain as well

I don't have any degrees in anything nor am I well educated. But I tend to hear a lot of classical music over and over again in my hyppocampus area of the brain. Is that where the memories are stored?

I did when I was going through menopause and it liked to drive me up the wall because I could not sleep and the music and the words came fast and furious I attributed it to a harassing spirit that had attached itself to me.

Father God in the name of Jesus Christ I bring to bear the blood of Jesus against this harassing spirit that has attached itself to him and I cancel the assignment that the devil has against him. Lord bring peace and take these menacing tunes out of his thoughts and restore and renew his mind with the word of God. Greater is Jesus that is in you that the devil that is in the world. You have the mind of Christ and hold the thoughts, feelings and purposes of His heart. I praised you and thank you for doing it amen.

    God bless you (((Eds)))

It's normal for me, but I don't speak for others.

I can hear songs play....seemingly to come out of nowhere at specific times.

    Always they have meaning.

Who I am being in the moment tends to influence the tune or tone that runs through my mind.

I know you have already picked best, but I would love to hear from you. We spoke often while my husband was on his deathbed in 2006. Would love to hear from you. I can be e-mailed through this identification. You were not well last I heard.

Yeah, and a lot of them I made up myself and made them into real songs that anyone else can hear.

It is normal, but why are the Degrees you mention relevant?

Thanks for making me feel normal (somewhat). I always seem to get stuck on the same tunes. though.
