Does anyone like this new Y/A Interface?
I find it harder to navigate and visually overwhelming. It has improved nothing and is just different. I am a programmer and see no reason for this new format. It worked fine and was easy to navigate. Does anyone here like the new Yahoo?

I have heard a few comments from people that have used the new layout that didn't like it at first but got use to it and now prefer it, hope that happens to me because i'm finding it a bit different to navigate at the moment. Just got to roll with the punches on this one and go with it.
I'm wondering if this fits in the category of......It isn't broken why fix it?
Is there a Martial Arts Forum, similar to Y/A that we can all exodus too?
or make one, Pugs Dojo? maybe !

It has now arrived in Canada too.
I don't like it either. It is harder to navigate, and inconvenient to use.
It seems sure to reduce user-ship because of it's built-in difficulty.
But Yahoo is infamous for never listening to customers.
Like you, I find this new "format" is a step backwards. It worked much better in the old one.

I love how 3 of the 4 answers are guys from the MA section xD
Meh, I can live with it. It's a bit weird navigating around as you said, but it's not terrible. They should update it though...
Oh wow. Make that 8 including myself from the MA section.

It's getting better, they're making some improvements.
I like the in-line Youtube thumbnail and inline images displayed - very nice touch.
They fixed the floating toolbar problem, very irksome as I tried to shrink the screen while getting other work done.
I don't like that you can't hover over avatars to block or see current activity.
I have several people I like to follow, but, those people also spend time in other groups and comment/like/answer in those other groups - but I have no interest in them. I'd like to avoid seeing that activity. Short of unfollowing these people, I'm stuck having to wade through that.
I like the lower profiled top contributor badge.
I like the purple - it doesn't scream as badly as the lime green.
Editing answers is buggy in the last few days: clicking "save" on an edited answer will close the edits - but no edits were preserved. So, you need to copy your edits, and sometimes re-try to edit your answer.
I don't like that reporting trolls doesn't work.
I don't like that when you respond to someone via Y!A (and NOT Y!Mail) that a record of your response isn't kept.
I don't like that HTTPS isn't supported.
I don't like that I can't undo a like or unlike (which is why I rarely use this feature, though I use them from time to time lately)
I like that you can see that people voted/thumbed up on your response (though for the life of me I can't figure out how - I know I saw it once before)
I like that there's a feedback button on most pages. I've received several personal responses from Y!A programmers in response to feedback I provided. Not all were responded, but more than a few.
I like that ALL answers are provided on a single page if many people provide an answer (like, more than 20) - previously, you had to click to get the next page. But, you still have to click to load more. But, if you sit at the bottom of the page and keep loading more until no more, then, you can do a single page search and find text - once. Previously, you had to search on each batch of answers returned.
I would like there to be a live "@" feature - like Facebook - which you get notified if someone mentions you. This would make it easy to see references, and make it easy to be notified so you can respond.
I don't like the amount of time reported when you ask and extend a question - the number of days never changes, and suddenly, the question falls into voting before you get a chance to choose a BA.
They still haven't fixed minor grammatical bugs in text. That isn't technically important, but, it speaks volumes about the quality of testing, review, programming, and QA.

NO I do not like this format at all. I don;t think they care what we as those that use yahoo care about. if they did they would ask us and respond to us with something more than a generic response that basically mean shut up and this is what you are going to get whether you like it or not.

I hate it, and they changed the interface on the tablets and phones today as well making it worst for me.
Now I can't find crap on this site
