Help with Super Bowl 2014 Odds - I do not understand "Odds"?

Hi; I just looked at the odds for tomorrow's Super Bowl game & I don't understand them. I have a mental block when it comes to betting against or with the odds. If someone could explain what this means I would be most appreciative.

From a main website:

Seattle Seahawks +3 +115

Denver Broncos -3 -115

Have no idea what this means. Thanks to anyone who can unblock my brain.

P.S. I do understand the game perfectly, though.

Thanks

The +3 and -3 are point spreads. That means if you think Denver will win by more than 3 you bet on them and if you think Denver will win by less than 3 or Seattle will win you bet on them. In other words for bet purposes you take away 3 points from Denver and add 3 points to Seattle. Let's say Denver wins 28-27. if you take away 3 poiints from Denver and add 3 points to Seattle that would make it Seattle 30-25 for your bet. So if you bet on Seattle (even though they lost the actual game) you still win the bet. The +115 and -115 are moneyline bets. It means you have to bet $115 to make $100 if you pick Denver and $100 to make $115 if you pick Seattle.

Honestly, I don't like it. The Super Bowl should about the best players and teams in the league being awesome, and the cold weather and possible rain/snow lowers the quality of football being played. You mention the famous cold-weather championship games, but they were really only famous because of one play or just because it was really cold out. The only one I can think of is the Ice Bowl, which gave us a QB sneak and 59 more minutes that we don't remember. I have no clue what happened in the Fog Bowl or the Freezer Bowl in Cincinnati. The game itself wasn't great; just the weather. Also, what if a snowstorm hit New York on Super Bowl week? That would be a traffic nightmare! I like cold weather football, just not for the Super Bowl. (BTW, the corporate people have luxury boxes. You won't get to watch them freeze because they'll be inside.)
