    No, it does not.

God had a multitude of other options. One, God could have just destroyed Adam and Eve and made new ones. If God knew that every man and woman He created would sin then either God is broken or His invention of mankind is broken.

If God know that there was at least ONE combination of man and woman that He could put in the garden that would never sin then God should have created them and that would have saved us all including His Son Jesus from having to die on the cross.

The people who wrote the story were not gods and therefore couldn't think through all the possibilities. If a God had really inspired the story of Adam and Eve it would be logic proof.

But we're not damned - grace is freely available to all. It was even retroactive (per the descent of Jesus into hell to save the formerly lost).

What God did was create an environment where actions have consequences. This is a matter of simple truth. The things we do, both big and small, have consequences.

    What are you referring to?

Are you referring to the Genesis account of Adam and Eve?

Adam and Eve were not condemned for picking fruit, but for disobeying God. Thus sin and death was brought into the world. Every single person who has ever lived would have likewise disobeyed God. If you say you would not, then you are calling God a liar, and that would make you a blasphemer of God, and thus you have violated God's perfect and holy requirements.

    ------------

Yes, the punishment fits the crime.

God is holy, perfect and righteous. No sin will exist in His presence, regardless of how small we think the sin is. God is infinitely holy, infinitely worthy, infinitely honorable. When a person disobeys God in their sin, they have committed the infinite crime, because the value of a crime is based on the one on whom it is committed against.

If I lie to a child, pretty much nothing is going to happen.

If I lie to my wife, I will be sleeping on the couch.

If I lie to my boss, I will be fired.

If I lie to the government, I will go to jail.

The punishment is based on whom the crime is offended.

For there to be perfect justice, anything less than perfect obedience to God deserves infinite punishment. That is why eternal Hell is reasonable for perfect justice.

    ---------------

No, I would not do that to my children because I am not God. I do not even register on the scale in comparison to God's infinite holiness, perfection and righteousness. In and of myself I am completely corrupt. And truly, it does not matter how I would handle the situation, because no one answers to me, as I have never created anyone. All people everywhere will stand before God and answer to Him and His perfect standard.

So what you may consider a tiny disobedience, God considers an infinite offense, and He would be right to crush you, and any of us, to dust, because He is the Creator.

  • Well, if you note in the fable, it makes sense. The entire species at the time was only 2 people, who both knew He didn't want them to eat it and they did anyways. It is inconsequential that the people who went against His word happened to be the entire species.

Punish all my descendents because my children disobeyed me. Makes perfect sense in Bizarro world.

  • you are making a fundamental mistake.... you are trying to impose your / man's invented rules upon God.... God created all that makes up this universe.... and God is the one who put in place all the laws that govern the functioning of this universe..... God makes The Rules..... you do not.... play by God's Rules... or... ultimately... you lose

if God says "Don't touch"... He means "DON"T TOUCH"

Try to see it this way. All Adam had to do was remain obedient with one thing. That's it. And he couldn't bring himself to do it. Just that one thing. He and his wife screwed us over a piece of fruit.

Then I guess it's good that God gave us such an EASY way to avoid damnation - just accept Christ, it's that simple. Also, have any of the "damned" not committed plenty of their own sin?

God WARNED Adam and Eve...... even though He KNEW what would happen.... but he had His redemption plan for fallen mankind all ready.... through His Son..... He is the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.... and whoever believes in Him, puts their total trust in Him for their eternal salvation, shall NOT perish, but have everlasting life....

    Romans 5:12

    New King James Version (NKJV)

Death in Adam, Life in Christ

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—

    2 Corinthians 5:21

    New King James Version (NKJV)

21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

SATAN, the enemy of God and mankind, is the one who wants us all to be damned to Hell for all eternity. Not God. He sent His Son to die in our place to keep us OUT of Hell, but every person must PERSONALLY receive Jesus as their Savior before they leave this world and go into eternity.... Satan was trying to get God to compromise on His absolute justice and righteousness for the sake of mankind in the hopes that he, satan, would have "grounds" to get back into Heaven, but God sent His Son Who paid for ALL of our sins in full forever.... and set God totally free to extend His everlasting mercy and grace to everyone and any- one who comes to Him for salvation..... The salvation of mankind did NOT come out of a capricious whim on God's part that could be here today and gone tomorrow. It is based on the BLOOD SACRIFICE of HIS SON and when He said, on the cross, IT IS FINISHED....... , that was the END of satan's power over death and hell and against mankind..... and now the ONLY people who will end up in hell and eternal judgment will be there because they

CHOSE to IGNORE or OUT-RIGHTLY REJECT the SACRIFICE of LOVE that was made on their behalf by the Son of God.... God

"sends" NOBODY to Hell!!!! They send themselves, as tragic as that is to think about!!!!

    2 Corinthians 4:3-5

    New King James Version (NKJV)

3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bond servants for Jesus’ sake.
