good romance/comedy manga?

I think most of these fit your description, but I'll let you be the judge of that.

- High School debut (Plenty of Romance and Comedy)

*(Sequel) Enren debut

Yoh : Really cool, handsome, smart guy that doesn't like to show his emotions or get involved in the affairs of others. He has a special talent, where he knows what guys like to see in girls.

Haruna: The COMPLETE opposite of Yoh! She is dense, ordinary, and she shows waaayyy to many emotions. She loves helping everyone and wants only one thing...to get a boyfriend in high school. She finds out that Yoh knows what guys like so she asks him to coach her into becoming the perfect girl for any guy. Yoh (of course) refuses at first but later on gives in and decides to help her.

I simply love the differences between the two characters! They are, by far, my favorite manga couple. They kept me laughing throughout the entire series.

-Cutie Boy (Romance with tons of comedy)

Female lead - She is a scaredy cat, average girl, that really wants a boyfriend. Not just any type of boyfriend though. She wants a beautiful boyfriend, the type you see in magazines and movies. Oh, and she definetly does NOT want a violent guy.

Male lead - He is beautiful, "smart", popular and oh yeah! extreeeemely violent.

This will have you laughing out loud 'till you get a six pack!

-Monkey High!

Macharu/Masaru - Hyper, childish, fun loving guy, everyone calls baby monkey.

Haruna - Serious, smart, quiet, pretty girl, who gets into a lot of weird situations she would normally never be in because of Macharu.

I enjoyed reading this manga because of the crazy situations their friends would get them in. They reminded me of high school debut a little but with the characters flipped.

-Sugar addiction

Male lead - Serious, rich boy, with bad attitude that needs to get his grandfather off his back.

Female lead - common girl, with bad attitude, who doesn't like to show weakness in front of anyone.

The girl gets thrown out by her grandmother and ends up living with a total stranger. It's a very sweet, fun story to read.

-Kodomo no omocha (kodocha)

*(Sequel) Deep Clear

Akito - Serious, trouble making boy, who loves to tease Sana.

Sana - Active, hyper, child star, that finds Akito very annoying.

Perhaps this story is a little weird due to the ages of the main characters but it's still a very sweet and funny manga. I especially loved the sequel. It made reading this really worth my time.

-Gakuen alice

Natsume - Just like Akito

Mikan - Just like Sana

If you like Kodocha, you will like Gakuen Alice. They have similar personalities but the stories are different. This one is about a school of 'special' kids with different powers or alices that they each have.

-A kiss to my prince

Sian - playful, sneaky, smart, sometimes mature guy. Takes advantage of Sei-Ann's ambitions and makes her work for the prince she likes at the palace.

Sei-Ann - ambitious, poor, beautiful, deceiving girl that only cares about her own well-being. She will do anything to get what she wants and decides that she wants to marry a prince to become rich and live comfortably.

It has many funny moments and also romance. Basically, Sei-Ann's ambitions get her into trouble.

-Neck and Neck

Lead male - spoiled, son of a gang leader, tough guy who doesn't like to lose to anyone.

Female lead - spoiled, manipulative, daughter of a gang leader, that doesn't like to lose to anyone.

Yes, both characters have very similar descriptions, this makes it really fun to read. Neither one likes to lose and they each try to get the other in trouble. Oh, yeah! I forgot to mention...Their father's dislike each other a lot. This is a whole new twist to Romeo and Juliet. Every time their father's met I would be crying of laughter.

-Beauty is the Beast (Very funny!)

Wanibuchi/ Wanichin - tough, serious, mean, handsome guy that everyone is afraid of.

Eimi - ordinary, sweet, airhead girl that eats a lot and everyone treats like a pet.

I loved this manga! Eimi is just hilarious because she acts so weird and her only interest is food. She gets on Wanibuchi's nerves and she is always trying to hang around him. She also tends to call him Wanichin. The girls at the dorm are very funny too. They used Eimi as an 'experiment' once. It had me laughing plenty of times.

-Beast Master

Female lead - nice girl that likes animals but animals do not like her.

Male lead - a wild boy that doesn't seem to fit in. For some reason grows attached to the female lead.

This was a really sweet, short manga. It had its funny moments and its cute moments as well.

-Beauty Pop (Funny!)

Male lead - strict, always angry, beautician, that takes cutting hair way to seriously and always likes to be the best.

Female lead - nice, calm, almost always sleepy, beautician that is extremely good at finding the perfect hairstyle for each person.

The female lead is thought to be better at cutting hair than the male lead. This, of course, makes him very angry and he lets his extremely competitive nature come out. She doesn't really think of him as a rival. It is a very good, funny story and the guy's temperament makes it even better.

-School Rumble (Hilarious!)

Haruma - tough, delinquent guy that is secretly in love with a nice girl.

Tenma - oblivious airhead, that has no idea that Haruma likes her, she has a crush on another guy

This duo is one of the funniest I have ever seen. Haruma is too shy to tell Tenma he likes her directly. In some occassions, he blurts out things that come off as weird without him meaning to. A normal person would think that he is a perv, but Tenma actually understands what he means. This is just a random, funny manga/ anime that is worth your time!

-Angel Densetsu (Also Hilarious!)

Male lead - a scary looking guy with a really nice personality

Female lead - a nice girl that is actually tough

Ok, so the guy looks like a really scary gangster that has killed many in his lifetime. His appearance makes many people look at him with either fear or anger. In many situations he is completely clueless to what is going on and that leads to many misunderstandings.

-Yankee to Megane chan

Male lead - delinquent boy, that doesn't take school seriously, but thanks to a weird girl with glasses he becomes involved in many school activities he normally wouldn't be in (She forces him).

Female lead - a girl that looks like an ordinary school girl, turns out she's not very ordinary at all.

This was a funny, sweet story with many random events.

-Special A

Female lead - fighting girl with a nice strong personality, she sees the male lead as her rival

Male lead - strong, intelligent guy that is in love with the leading girl. He wants her to notice him but all she wants to do is beat him at everything.

It is very funny seeing him trying to make her fall in love with him. She thinks that all he wants to do is humiliate her.

-EyeShield 21 (Hilarious!)

Male lead - short guy, that runs very fast is recruited by the football team

This is more of a comedy than a romance. I only saw the anime so there may be more romance in the manga.

You don't have to be a football fan to enjoy it. So, the guy is recruited to be in the football team by a scary guy that blackmails absolutely everyone. Their main goal? To get to the Christmas Bowl!!! It is just a hilarious series for those who want a good laugh.

-Slam Dunk (This one is hilarious as well!)

Sakuragi - delinquent, red haired, arrogant, tall guy, that solves everything with violence. Decides to join the basketball team for a girl he started to like.

Haruko - basketball loving girl that encourages Sakuragi to join the basketball team because he is very tall.

Here, Sakuragi tries to become the star of the basketball team but he is very violent, aggressive, and scary towards his teammates and opponents. It's just funny seeing him trying to play basketball and getting mad at everyone.

-Boys over flowers

Male lead - rich, delinquent boy, leader of a gang, who does whatever he wants and no one has ever stood up to him

Female lead - poor, ordinary girl, who gets tired of being pushed around by everyone. She decides to stand up to the male lead and starts to like one of the members of his gang. I liked reading this story and it made me laugh quite a bit.

-Fruits basket

Female lead - nice, sweet, innocent girl that discovers a curse that was put on certain individuals.

Male leads - One is a very calm, handsome, smart boy that doesn't like to talk to girls. The other one is a loud, red haired, aggressive boy that doesn't like to be around people either.

I put two male leads since they both seem like important characters. Probably what I really liked about this manga is that the story ends how I wished it would end.

-Kaichou wa maid sama

Usui - handsome, popular, smart guy that for some reason likes to follow Misaki to the restaurant where she works.

Misaki - tough, hardworking, girl who has to work at a cafe to support her family. She is known as a boy-hating girl at school.

This was a sweet, funny, romantic story. Basically, the leading male becomes the girl's creepy stalker. He often protects her and does things to help her get out of trouble.

-Yumeiro Patissiere

Female lead - nice, happy girl that loves making and eating sweets

Male lead - serious, smart guy (with a bit of a temper) that is very talented in making sweets

This is a funny, romance story that revolves around making desserts at a prestigious school.The anime and manga start off the same but later on have completely different stories.This story is very similar to Kitchen Princess.

i recommend skip beat (still ongoing)...and all yuu watase's works (absolute boyfriend, Genbu Kaiden. ayashi no ceres, etc.)...try to read the synopsis on the shoujo mangga category and hope you will find a good one for you ....GANBATTE!
