Does the GOP have a "Ted" problem?

Because of a complete lack of GOP leadership the public is starting to associate the party with either Ted Cruz or Ted Nugent. Can the GOP recover?

Ted Nugent is a farce on the political stage ... he pissed and shat him self to avoid the draft ...

The right wing should have disenfranchised it self long ago f/ this nut case. I was amused when Romney embraced the Nugent support.

Cruz is as extreme as Nugent. He was willing to filibuster support to shut gov down in protest of a law already decided by the Supreme Court.

I'm not sure it's a GOP problem as much as it is a prevailing asset for the dems while sensible people determine they can't align w/ the extremism.

The GOP can recover, but not with the rhinos that they pick to run. The republicans need to appeal to the minorities and younger generation. This can be done with a broader conservative/libertarian view. It has been embedded in the minds of the younger generation that republicans are old fat greedy men smoking cigars and drinking cognac plotting ways to destroy the poor and make the rich richer. The fact is, the republican party needs to "re-brand" themselves and catch up to the 21st century without losing many of the ethics and principles that they adhere too. Rand Paul would be the closet thing that the republican party has to a true constitutionalist and civil libertarian.

Ted Cruz is not a problem, he's a solution. Republicans and Democrats BOTH fear him because he wants to keep the Constitution as the law of the land.

I hope not, because the current Republican party consists of Republicans in name only, RINOs. The Democrats of Presidents Harry Truman and John Kennedy were more Conservative than the POS Republicans of today. I know, because I lived through that era as an adult; yes I'm older than dirt.

The Liberal Democrats of today are a mix of perverts, morons, traitors, and subversives.

The GOP stands for Grand Old Party, and they are the ones who freed the slaves and stood up for the Constitution. Today's Republicans like the Democrats have abandoned the spirit and intent of the Constitution, and both of those cretinous bastards scream names and LIE about people that do believe in the Constitution.

Just what good does a true Conservative accomplish by voting for a RINO Republican or a moron Democrat? A pox on them!

I call your type "blatant" wishful thinker. Ted Cruz is well respected amongst the general public and a credible political cavalier amongst the politicos. Journalists have to ask about average intelligent questions because they know how eloquent, skilled, and the following he has. Grow up and stop pretending against the things you feel threatened against don't exist.

  • The longer Obamacare takes its toll on America, the more likely they can throw Ted Danson in the mix and still win.

This is more your view of Republicans than it is some actual "Ted" problem.

It sounds to me like it is the liberals who are upset with the Teds.

The GOP has a "Tard" problem right now. Cruz, Bachmann, Santorum, Huckabee, Gingrich, Perry etc. It's a serious mental hospital over there right now.

Not a hope. We could vote a loaf of bread as our candidate and still beat the GOP
