Is Muse a good band?

I think they're average at best. Based on the info you've given, I doubt you'd like them, but who knows. Origin of Symmetry is considered their best work, so start there I guess.

They're not quite Queen, more Radiohead to me. Just because they aren't on Queen's level doesn't mean that they're just wannabes, though, because, in all fairness, no one can ever top Queen. I think Muse are still a good band in their own right, though. They're one of the best bands out there right now, anyway. I've been listening to Muse for years and i own every album. Their best albums to try are ORIGIN OF SYMMETRY, ABSOLUTION, BLACK HOLES AND REVELATIONS and RESISTANCE.

Best songs to sample from each of these albums?

ORIGIN OF SYMMETRY: New Born, Bliss, Plug In Baby, Citizen Erased.

ABSOLUTION: Time Is Running Out, Sing For Absolution, Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria, Butterflies And Hurricanes.

BLACK HOLES AND REVELATIONS: Starlight, Supermassive Black Holes, Map Of The Problematique, Invincible, Knights Of Cydonia.

RESISTANCE: Resistance, United States Of Eurasia, Guiding Light, Unnatural Selection, MK Ultra.

*i have not named their slower and softer piano songs* as they are not my taste and i rarely listen to them but for all i know, you may be interested in them so look them up.

Of all their albums, RESISTANCE most reminds me of Queen, but it's only the riffs and vocals. There are hardly any guitar solos at all (which is a pitty).

They're ok, not a patch on Queen. I really liked 'Origin Of Symmetry' and thought they would turn out to be pretty interesting but no they just bore me now.
