Weed Out the Creepers?

This isn't really a hunting question, per say, or really a question at all.

But it does pertain to the actual comment section we love to adhere to.

It seems like there's an awful lot of stupid questions these days. And I don't just mean stupid, I mean full on weird, and somewhat concerning questions.

Suicidal, homicidal, and otherwise mentally unstable questions that may be taken as jokes, but may actually mean something more threatening; especially when being associated with the act of misusing a firearm. Not only for concern of human life at stake, but also more controversy to fuel the fire of the anti-gun robots.

Those of us who frequent Yahoo Answers should take care to report those who violate this section with their absurd, weird, and unrelated questions in an effort to keep the section on track with it's actual topic.

No more of these "survivalist" or seemingly homicidal or suicidal questions of which the purpose if for mere attention or the lack of mental ability.

Use them report buttons, and fire at will!

Update:

For example, A B2 decided to "retaliate" against my confrontational comment on his last..."question."

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201402...

I don't know about y'all, but that last comment on there sounds like a direct insult to the US of A.

Update 2:

Well, of course, Squiggy, I wouldn't have it any other way! That's why cars have horns; people need to know when they're being stupid.

And there's something that just tastes a little better about hunted bird to me...it seems...fresher for some reason...hmmm... (Can't get anymore organic than that, you hippie tree huggers)

Update 3:

EDIT: I guess A B2 deleted his "comment" now...a good move for him, in my opinion. Because if you thought you got mean answers NOW...

    I am in full agreement.

I suggest, however, that the irregulars here continue to make fun of the aforementioned creepers and then report them afterward.

Why not provide entertainment, POSSIBLY make the idiots realize what idiots they are and get two points for doing so and THEN report them?

Additionally: I like hunting for tasty critters and then serving them with gravy. I expect the asker of this question also likes well-prepared game for dinner.

Man, I love hunting. It's just such an enjoyable activity.

But yeah, just report them. It's not worth worrying about beyond that, other than the occasional moment where you simply MUST point out how ludicrous these people are... but I usually reserve that for people who are asking questions about how to survive in the wild for 4,301 days with nothing but a shoestring and a pack of turkey jerky.

I report A B2, the little thumb sucking troll, every time I see her. The way to weed her out may be to keep reporting her. Although I'm not sure reporting does much good. You can't shame them, they come here looking to piss people off. The more you feed them the more they will come back. I think report them and ignore them may the way to go.

She had posted a profane attack against you and as soon as I reported it, it disappeared. I also have noticed that when I answer her question with a "reported" answer, my answer disappears. I wonder if she is a "trusted member" gone rogue?

    Full on agree.

There was a time when 'war parties' of people from the Hunting Section would go to the Vegan section and bash them.

What's been bothering me - some of the anti-gun and especially anti-hunting extremely stupid questions - are coming for folks with the "Leading Contributor' designation.

I'm with Squiggy - have fun - then report them.

I just started not answering the dumba$$ questions and giving everyone that does a thumbs down. Then report it.

They are usually imbeciles with to much free time on their hands. Or they are millennia's who are entitled to everything, without doing the work. Our future EBT and Obama Care recieptants, who want to sue their parent for their college tuition.

I'm all for toying with the idiots before slamdunking them. It's not like I'm worried about them reporting me. I personally like to get my jollies verbally abusing them because it's funny and cheaper than therapy, and I believe stupid people should be useful, especially when that usefulness is as comedic relief.

I report 'em, too, but apparently nobody gives a flying fu©k about it. I'm obviously not a "trusted member."

But that's okay. Morons put a smile on my face and I hope my verbal thrashings make you smile, too.

    Be safe, all.

It's got to the point where I will just reply to the REAL "off-category questions"....I simply report them now because I discovered that if I reply with a standard..."NOT a valid Hunting question....reported"....then as if by magic, I get an email from Y/A saying one of the Trusted Members has reported me for violating the guidelines....go figure. So, I don't warn them anymore....

Source(s): BUT...I do have a problem with the amount of idiots who frequent this space. Y/A needs to add some more categories or terminate the accounts of offenders....with extreme prejudice...lol.

Something tells me I don't think HE deleted it.

I do use the report button. Just doesn't seem to do any good.

If everyone just ignored them and reported them, then they might go away, but I doubt it.

Some of the regulars here are just as bad though. The fact that they are still around shows very few of the regulars are really interested in change.

There used to be a lot less trolling in this section, and a lot more serious questions. Unless YA goes to a moderated format like most actual discussion forums, it's never going to change for the better.

Most of the trolls on both sides of this Q&A have probably been chased out of regular forums, and so this is a last resort for them.

The YA Hunting section passed on some time back. Very few interesting questions on here.
