Do you agree with Ben Stein that Democrats can only sell "Climate Change" to fanatics?

I think AGW only sells to younguns. And a crusader mentality doesn't hurt. But after about thirty years, you see the weather begin to repeat itself. Droughts then floods come then go. Snowy or mild winters come and go.

Bens' a nice old man, but he makes a living being a critic and a denier. When even the US Navy is on board with man made climate change you can discount the right wing blather on the subject. ALL of the data, the science and the physics prove that this is a real situation that may or may not have a solution. The only way to change this realty is to prove that there is no such a thing as a greenhouse effect. We're all waiting for that.

Ben Stein? You mean the guy that says exactly the same thing about evolution? Why would you argue that a religious fanatic states climate change can only be sold to fanatics?

I couldn't get past them laughing about people dying and losing their homes. The folk at Fox News have a different sense of humor than I have.

If you consider both Exxon and Shell Oil fanatics (they both buy into it) he could be right but he has a strange concept of fanatic.

That is utter nonsense. Anyone who can understand science knows that global warming is happening

I now await the response of a true fanatic; the ad hom.

I'm pretty sure I'm not a fanatic. But our political climate has become so polarized that people on both sides of any issue have this annoying tendency to think of those on the other side of the issue as fanatics, even the quite moderate ones.

Ben Stein is more stupid in real life than the teacher he played in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
