Ireland- Oliver Cromwell, England in general actually, especially during the independence era!

England- traditionally, France. Long history of wars, although allies in treaties from the 1830s, tbf and in the world wars. Germany- WW1/2. Scotland, in the old days (hence Hadrian's Wall! but also a lot of fighting in the Jacobean era, more relevantly, plus a few stereotypes between countries and rivalry).

France- Germany, no question. The World Wars, but even before, the Alsace Lorraine problem was massive and a big issue. A lot of fighting traditionally between them.

Germany- well, enemies? France, I suppose, see above. The US was fairly big, especially in WW2. But no real arch enemy, France they warred with. Poland was always threatened and invaded, but the wasn't exactly due to hatred and wouldn't class it as arch enemy, but more for ease of expanding iyswim?

Spain- well, France, for sure, especially due to border areas having heavy French influence and the resulting identity/nationality issues. Um, otherwise, not much.

Italy- well. Austria, I suppose. Even when signing into the Triple Alliance in 1882, there were tensions, even in 1911 Austrian officials wanted a strike against Italy. They went against the Triple Alliance and fought against Austria. Generally had a bad past.

    Turkey- Greece, originally. Also, Albania.

Russia- USA, no question asked. Tbh, the West as a whole, but mainly the US for a variety of reasons. Also, not exactly fans of Germany you could say...But the US are there big 'enemies'. I would go so far to suggest that out of this whole list, the Russian-US one is the only current actual enemy, the others are traditional and are now stereotypes/playful mutual teasing.

Ukraine- Russia- the Crimea, both traditionally and nowadays, with the current situation of course :(

Japan- South Korea rivalry, in terms of technology, industry, tourism and so on. Also, CHINA! Both historically and nowadays

China- well, Japan. Also, India more recently, due to border issues in Jammu and Kashmir, and Arunachal Pradesh.

Netherlands- ooh, no one really. Germany, especially as football rivals though!

Sweden- DENMARK, cos Danish people are southern slow farmers ;) joking, but Denmark. Also, Norway. Definitely Norway. A lot of inter country teasing against Norway- thick, heavy accented dumb farmers and fishers, cod tongues, that sort of stereotypes. Very jokey and Sweden really doesn't have any enemies (neutral in most wars after all) and the Norway/Denmark is more rivalry and play hatred, not real.

Austria- Italy, see above. But again, not real exactly- historical.

    Greece- Turkey, of course :)

But, aside from the Russia/US thing (mainly due to the Crimea situation currently and intervention) ALL of these are very playful and teasing, usually mutual and not real at all.

Arch enemies, personally? No. I can't be bothered to hate people, mainly. Possibly my mother, but I haven't had contact since I entered foster care when I was 14, and I'm now an adult.
