I am not a native english speaker, so some things dont come naturally to me in english. So if a company's regulation states that all employers should be at work at 8 : 00 am, how do you call that specific time as short and laconically as you can?

For example, we call 'deadline' the last hour that you are allowed to submit your work / homework etc.

What about the last hour when you can go to work?

I would prefer answers from native english speakers, so that I dont get a word-by-word translation. I need the actual word that is used in these cases

it tells the story of a woman (i think the name was Annie, she has short hair). her daughter is murdered. she becomes obsessed with the color red. there is a scene with some red apples. her husband tries to be supportive. their dog goes missing, the husband goes to pick him in a hotel but is murdered by the same killer as the daughter. Annie sees everything in a dream. when learns the news she breaks down and is put in a hospital where she learns some stuff about the killer because she is in the same room he used to be. There was a kid's rhyme that goes pretty much like this "daddy is less than a dollar. he isnt even worth 50 cent" written on the wall. she escapes the hospital in the same way the killer had escaped years ago and finds the killer. he has kidnapped another kid (i think its a boy this time, but im not sure). She rescues the kid, the killer is killed. Annie is drowned. In her last moment she sees her daughter (hallucination, of course). they had this personal game, where annie asks the daughter "who is the fairest of all". the daughter replies "its you". end of the story.

i heard it in a song (white snake - spider). the phrase is "hands that hold are hands that bind".

i was wandering (hoping) it means something (something that i want it to mean). anyone has an idea? is "hands that bind" a real expression? sorry for being so obsessed and weird. thanks

it is not a virus thing, im sure. maybe that its because ive been keeping it on for long periods recently. when this happened, it was on for around 12 hours.. it happened twice. each time it allowed me to restart normally. the past days ive been working a lot on it. can that be the reason?

Ive read a poem (love poem) a couple years ago, translated in my maternal language (albanian). I dont know who the author is, though i have a strong feeling its George Gordon Byron.

The only thing i remember from it is this phrase "por vetem tek ti e gjeta dashurine qe shpirti me ka enderruar", which most of you obviously cant understand. i dont know how the original phrase was, but if i translate it it goes pretty much like this "But only in you i found the love that my soul has been dreaming about". Dont expect it to be like this, thats just the meaning and a rough translation. Also, somewhere near this phrase there was a description of this place which was some sort of deserted place and there was this tree/ plant and there was something about it.

I know the description is very blurry, but i doubt there are many poems fitting the profile.

Anyone who thinks that knows it, please answer me. a link would be good, or the poem itself.

I need to assign the prod[i].productName as prod[i + 1].productName (the value of i doesnt really matter, i determine it using some other function). But I only can assign values to a array of chars with a for loop one by one. The problem here is that i need an index k for the for loop to iterate each character that is being changed as well as an index i to point out which product name im changing. but how do i use two indexes in this datatype wich normally has only one index?

I have to make a team project with c++. but it should be user-friendly, it should be useful. For example, no matter how much we like them, no games are allowed. now i dont want an idea for some simple program (adding numbers, reading from file, fibonacci, sorting etc.). It should be a real project, including arrays, control statements (normally), maybe file reading, graphics and enumeration and structures(optional).

i have installed mysql and now i want to work with it. but i cannt access localhost or 127.0.0.1 (i know its the same thing but i tried both). i even removed firewall and antivirus protection and commented all "skip networking" from all .ini files (im working with windows). what do i do?

I have a windows xp 86 bit laptop (sp2, btw) and tried to install mysql. But when i run the setup (___.msi), it first requested me to install net framework which i did, but then said that i needed sp3 or higher service pack to install mysql. The thing is that i cant upgrade to sp3 since i have a 86 bit os.

the other way (which i dont even know if it will work or not) of installing from a zip file was too confusing and i couldnt find any tutorials I was able to understand. please if anyone can help me, like telling how to install from the zip or send a link of download that works for my laptop, id be really grateful.

whenever i start my computer, it takes around five minutes after the desktop shows up for the desktop icons and the start bar to show up too. This didn't use to happen before and I'm afraid sth is wrong.
