Parents don't let me live here...?

I got admission in a company as trainee (i.e i am working as an apprentice) which is situated 65-70kms away from my home town.I shall leave by 6.30 AM and reach by 7.30 PM. Well, my parents say its shame for them i am staying at my home and want me to stay in hostel.

is it a shame for parents if grown up children stays with them or their own house?

    ikr , this stuff happens to me. I would show your parents that you can be grown up and own your own place. I would rent a apartment with a friend for now

    it is a shame to spend one and half an hour

    each way on commuting to a job.

    students studying in the same city as their home

    sometimes stay in a hostel.
