Footwear Question (see details)?

Question

I was with two friends at the mall looking at shoes, when one of them noticed that she had never seen me in sandals. The other friend said that she hadn't either. 

They were right. I don't like wearing sandals. I don't understand why anyone would want to see my feet. There's nothing wrong with them, I just don't like sandals either as a fashion statement, or even in casual settings. I don't even own a pair of flip flops. 

I'm kinda tall with ok legs, and my friends say that with my legs, sandals would go good with my look. They also think that I should paint my toenails, which I also don't do. No big deal if someone else does, I just don't think that it's right for me. 

My friends tried to make me buy some sandals today. They even threatened to order them for me online, have them delivered to me, and then I'd have to take them. I don't want them to do that. 

Am I wrong for not wearing sandals? It just seems like it's just not right for me.

You're not wrong, of course.  You are entitled to your preferences just like anyone else.

Just like I'm not wrong by going barefoot or wearing flip-flops or sandals if I have to wear shoes.  I like showing off my feet, & that's my preference.

No, you are not wrong about not wearing sandals. You are not the only woman, who don't like wearing sandals. If they already did order them for you and they are going to be delivered to your home, You could  call the online store where they came from or E-Mail them, (whichever you like doing the best) and ask about exchanging them for a closed pair of shoes, of for something else. .
