You should also consider watching naruto because though it might start a bit strangely it's really one of the best amines of all times, same with hunterxhunter and bleach and sword art online and attack on Titan (ohmygod attack on Titan is so scary but its so good :) ) and yea, I love special A its so great :')

Well, I also liked Sword Art Online. I also really liked Future Diary, but that may be much darker than your tastes. Clannad was good, too.

Other random anime that I like: Bleach, Death Note, Evangelion, and Accel World. All of these have a lot of action. However, Death Note and Evangelion are considered classics by now, and they have a strong emotional core.

Out of what I've listed, I recommend you watch Clannad first.

I believe what you're looking got is called "shoujo"

Mainly oriented toward a younger female audience, and probably consisting of about 1/4th of the entire anime/manga popuation. Furthermore, it seems you have an interest in school life animes, and perhaps gender benders(don't worry, we all read them)
