The -ito, -ita endings in Spanish always carry the connotations of little, dear, always used with a sense of affection or delicacy.

Attached to amiga, -ita might therefore mean my little friend (f); my dear little Friend, my nice little girl friend.

Sometimes it doesn't mean little at all, but may just be a friend I am particularly fond of, one I like a lot..

    Hope this helps,

    Angela
