Yelp has somehow become involved in every search I make looking for certain items.?
I don't know why or how this has happened and cannot find anywhere to unsubscribe, or uninstall or whatever it takes to stop it. They seem to railroad everything. Please give me some advice on how to get rid of Yelp, I may never be able to make another search at the store I want otherwise.
PS I hope I have the name right, if not please consider other names close to it.
You guys have always steered me in the right direction with advice I can understand. Thank you

Are you by chance doing your searches on/thru' Yahoo.......?
Because Yahoo and Yelp recently formed a partnership, which might be the reason this has suddenly become a problem for you. Just found a number of different articles, and of course, there are many different opinions on the matter. Here's one of the reports.........

Just taking a guess, but I really don't think it's a coincidence. Try using a different search engine....just to see. Good luck.

Yelp are a really good 'thing' for finding great cafes, restaurants, specialty shops or service providers of some kind such as music teachers and piano tuners and little art galleries and everything else.
But if it keeps popping up like Ask.com or Bing instead of Google, I am wondering if you have a virus.
Several years ago my old laptop (which fell of my lap when my legs spasmed and split the screen) I had the 'Google Redirect' virus which kept on redirecting anything I googled (mainly answer health/medical questions so it was rather interesting) to retail/shop/suppliers of the subject matter I entered. Luckily my husband is a computer person; he fixed it for me.

You can block their address in your mail. Or simply keep putting it in the spam folder. If you cannot uninstall it from your control panel, ask your anti virus protection agent to do it for you. They will take over your computer and get the job done.
Run deep computer scans to be sure you have not picked up a virus and delete cookies every day or every time you feel your computer is being sluggish or trying to freeze.

Log onto the Internet from your computer using Internet Explorer version 7 or 8.
Click on the “Tools ” menu from the toolbar in your Web browser. A menu will drop down. Click “Internet Options.” A new window will open.
Look for the section in this window which reads “Search.” Under it, you will see the statement “Change search defaults.” Click the “Settings” button to the right of this statement. A new window will open.
This window will have a section titled “Search Providers:” with a white box below it. You will see your default search engine in this box with the words “Default” next to it. Click on the default search engine to highlight it.
Click the “Remove” button. You have now successfully deleted your default search engine.

If you don't want any of these types of emails just send them to "Spam".
Or you can unsubscribe at the bottom of the page of the email.
