serpentine belt squealing?

I have a 92 honda prelude the serpentine belt is new and it squeals at start-up. Does this mean its too tight or not tight enough?

not tight enough.. the slipping is causing the noise. to tight the belt would usually smoke or just break. it could be something as simple as a tensioner. products are made to make the belt stick to the pullies I think it is called belt dressing.

If you didn't replace the tensioner assembly I'd start there. Its what's supposed to keep the belt at proper tension, when the spring gets weak it won't do the job. With a '92 model even more likely.

Iit means you didn't spin all the pulleys it drives and one of them is seizing up and will destroy the new belt!
