You mean why they DON'T think so?
Mainly because it's made up of people below the age of 16 who can't see the value in older things, or they just aren't truly passionate about cinema.
I watch stuff from the 1920s, and I can see why it may be out of touch with a lot of modern audiences, but I do find the unwillingness of people to watch films even from the 90s to be pretty pathetic.
Some people love movies, and others just watch them. I think we're talking about the latter here.

You obviously have never seen Back to the Future, Sandlot, Star Wars or the Goonies which are some of the best movies ever.
