Can I sell Rosetta Stone on eBay or Craigslist?
Hello all,
So I have a Genuine Rosetta Stone that has almost 25+ languages all level 1-2 . So my question is can I make copies and sell on eBay or Craigslist? please tell me before I do it, and if it is illegal I WILL NOT do it!
the reason I am asking is because Rosetta Stone is really expensive and I do want to make money but if it is illegal or if it gets me in trouble then again I WILL NOT do it.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Please be professional and nice on answering since life is really short!!
Take Care All!!
Thank you!

No you cannot make copies and sell them - that is copyright infringement. When you bought Rosetta Stone, you bought the rights to use one copy and one copy only (you can make a backup for your own personal use). If you sell your rights (eBay or Craigs List) you are required by law to destroy any copies (backup disks, on your hard drive) that you have left.
Making copies nd selling them is punishable by: 1) turning ALL receipts from the sales over to the makers of Rosetta; 2) additional fines (which can total hundreds of thousands of dollars); 3) confiscation of the equipment you made the copies on; and, 4) jail time. And yes, companies like Rosetta Stone monitor eBay, Craigs List, etc., just to make sure that pirated copies are not being made and sold.

Of COURSE you can't crack software and make copies of it, bright bulb. What a stupid question.
You can't even sell the original Rosetta Stone at all. Their license prohibits it. If you try on eBay, your auction will be taken down and you'll be suspended if you relist. If you try it on craigslist, your ad will be flagged off. Everyone (except you, obviously) knows Rosetta Stone can't be resold. Google it.
The only places you can try to sell it are anonymous classified ad sites that are not community moderated. Or your own Web site, or to a friend.

Sell away... It's yours and you can resell it any way you like. EBay will be easier and quicker if you already have an account. Remember this, you can't copy it and resale the copies. That would be illegal.
