Will the movies "Psycho" (1960) and "The Birds" (1963) be scary for me?
I don't watch scary movies, and I want to see these movies to learn about Alfred Hitchcock and his movies. The trailers did not make me jump nor scare me. I'm 14, and my parents will let me see these movies if I want to. Also, I saw the movie "Hitchcock" and it only made me jump once.

I think you'll be fine. Let's see here, I'm fifteen, I started watching horror when I was nine, and these movies didn't scare me at all. You have to remember these were made in the '60s, which seems like forever ago to today's society. Personally, I thought The Birds was kind of dumb. You'll be fine. If all else fails and you get too scared, you can always cuddle with your pet cat on your bed and watch Disney movies at 3 am. Maybe that's just me. Anyway, have fun with the movies.

You will be fine. Psycho has some scares but its not too bad, but its very suspensful. I think I was around 13 when I saw it and I loved it. Its a great film. The Birds is not one of my favorites, but towards the end theres some intense scenes. But mostly its just creepy, you should be fine.
Some other great Hitchcock films you should watch are:
Vertigo
Rear Window
North by Northwest
Notorious

You should be fine. None of them are really "jumpy", they are more suspenseful and tense. The Birds is probably the least scary out of the two. Psycho has some blood, but not much. They aren't really horror movies, more thriller.

The birds should be ok, but psycho might make you a jump a bit. The birds is more creepy than scary.
Hitchcock movies I would recommend for you:
Strangers on a Train
The Lady Vanishes
The 39 Steps
Frenzy
rear window
the man who knew too much
Rope
