About Solar Panels?

I have UPS installed at my home which is 1000 Watt, 24 V ( 2 batteries of 100 Ah each) and my Load is about 2 Fans and 5 Energy Saving Lights.

I want to add Solar Panels so that i don't require electricity.

Will 2 Solar Panels of 150 Watt each works for me?

that would be fine if you only want to run the loads while the sun is shining. i assume though that you want to run the lights at night, so you need to size the solar panel to be able to fully recharge the batteries during the period of daylight so they will have enough reserve to run in the evening. that means you need to size the solar panels to be about twice the average connected load and use a charge controller to manage the battery use. using 2 of the 12 volt class panels connected in series is an acceptable way to supply a 24 volt battery system, make sure your charge controller is set for 24 volts as well. you may find that after several months of use, one of the batteries has become weaker and not fully recharging in the series connection. in that case you need to "equalize" the charge using a high current charger running off the main power line, or if you are disconnected from commercial power, charge up each battery separately for a day without the charge controller. that should restore normal operation for another couple of months.
