Do you even know anything about history? Decades ago, Germany took land that didn't belong to them. They signed a treaty saying that they would stop taking land and then they kept on doing it anyway. Nobody stopped them. They also forced Jews to register and identify themselves. All of this lea to world war 2. The exact same thing is happening in the Ukraine. Obviously we should stop this before world war 3 starts.

Your question appears to indicate you mean why should the people of the US care. Based on that, I would say that social injustice and war are topics that everyone globally needs to take interest in. Why? Because morally, we should not turn a blind eye to human rights issues.
Why the US government should care is another issue...On one hand, if I was on the brink of war with very little power to fight, I would hope someone would come to save me. But on the other hand, there is something wrong with the US acting as global police- especially in non-NATO countries.
TL;DR Americans should care because all humans are morally obligated to.

Because we don't want to start World War III with our old "enemy",and not turn Russia back to the Soviet Union (USSR)
