Why is the Korean War the forgotten war?

I know in the Koreas it certainly isn't but in the US you rarely hear/learn about it though it was pretty costly

Is it mainly because it was sandwiched between WW2 and Vietnam or for some other reason?

Thanks

    The what?... Lol jk

It's the forgotten war because it was a loss to the United States, we were there to aid the south and prevent the spread of communist influence, Korea is still split in 2 and they ended in an armistice, thus we have north and south Korea.

The Korean War was a draw and not a US victory,so they keep quiet about it.
