Cons, in your own words, what is the context of the Bundy quote?

why do cons ignore this part of the quote when they talk about the context?

"I want to tell you one more thing I know about the negro. When I go, went, go to Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and I would see these little government houses, and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids -- and there's always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch. They didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.

And because they were basically on government subsidy -- so now what do they do? They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never, they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered are they were better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things? Or are they better off under government subsidy?"

context means you explain ALL of the quote, just not ignore the parts you don't like?

I have read the full quote, as you claim you have, but, in context, what does the above part mean to you?

I see no way that this still isn't' racist, even in context?

Update:

cons apparently still want to talk about this, according to my last question... so let's talk about it...

The conservative context is that black people are lazy and on welfare and were better off as slaves. That's what they secretly think.

Actually Bundy's comment was an indictment of the welfare system and not racist at all.

Read his comments again. They could just as accurately apply to whites as to any other race..

Bundy impressed me as not being the sharpest tool in the shed. He's dumb enough to dig his hole deeper on national TV. And the idiots that are backing him with the muzzles of guns don't seem much brighter.

Bundy is a thief and a cheat - show me the welfare bum that can take taxpayers for a million dollars, and have conservatives defend him, while ignoring the fact that their hero is a deadbeat. And the absurdity of that one supporter suggesting that the patriot "heroes" hiding behind women and children was the most cowardly thing I've heard in a long time. Yeah, he's a real "patriot."

The government (read: "taxpayers") have been subsidizing Bundy for a couple of decades, but the guy has been dodging paying his fair share for a long time, and using some obscure rationale as an excuse. He's no better than some Welfare Queen at Wal-Mart buying potato chips and Coke with food stamps.

The thing is, this clown doesn't think he's done anything wrong.

Who cares? He's one redneck idiot who said stupid things. Joe Biden says stupid things every single day and no one says a thing about that, and he's the #2 man in the Democratic Party!!

    You omitted this quote.

" “I was in the WATTS riot, I seen the beginning fire and I seen the last fire. What I seen is civil disturbance. People are not happy, people is thinking they did not have their freedom; they didn’t have these things, and they didn’t have them.

“We’ve progressed quite a bit from that day until now, and sure don’t want to go back; we sure don’t want the colored people to go back to that point; we sure don’t want the Mexican people to go back to that point; and we can make a difference right now by taking care of some of these bureaucracies, and do it in a peaceful way.”

Hey there is no doubt Bundy could have choose better words to use. But remember Bundy is an old guy and back in his day those words he used were common and not considered racist.

But his message is one of concern for people living their lives in poverty and the demise of the family unit.

Now you opinion may change depending on which video you watch.
