Abroad Program-

A dual degree program involves a student working for two different university degrees in parallel, either at the same institution or at different institutions, may be in different countries, completing them in less time than it would take to earn them separately. The two degrees might be in the same subject area or in two different subjects. The dual degree concept is more popular in European Union, as the gaining of qualifications from more than one country is seen as an advantage in the European labour market. India, after opening its higher education to private players, is seeing a growth in the dual

degree programs

with foreign universities.The Dual Degree is structured at undergraduate and post graduate entry levels.

B.Tech and MS-This is structured as 3+ 2 program. For instance, students enrolling with SRM for B.Tech will complete three years of study at SRM satisfying all credit requirements and later go abroad to continue with our partnering university for fourth and fifth year. The credits of the fourth year studied at our partnering university are transferred to SRM and SRM awards the B.Tech degree. Upon satisfying the credit requirements for the Masters degree of our partnering university the student also gets MS / MSc from the partnering university.

M.Tech and MS-This is structured as 1+1 program. For instance, students enrolling with SRM for M.Tech will complete one year of study at SRM satisfying all credit requirements and later go abroad for one more year. Upon satisfying the credit requirements of both SRM and its partnering university for the Masters degree, mutual credit transfer is performed and the student gets M.Tech from SRM and MS / MSc from the partnering university.

M.B.A Dual- The Dual

degree programs

in MBA are (i) MBA – MPH within SRM (ii) MBA-MHM in collaboration with University of New South Wales, Australia and (iii) MBA – MS(IT) with concentration in Information security in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University, USA.
