Job market flood?

I've been looking to change my job, but every where i look, the job market seems to be flooded with Sales jobs. There are no more normal Jobs where you don't have to constantly drive sales anymore?

Sad, isn't it? Our job market has shifted in a bad direction over the years. The old job world of getting a decent job with a salary you could live on and a pension you could retire with is a thing of the past, for most. Everything is so competitive nowadays, and on top of that jobs are being outsourced and pay is being cut, while the prices of commodities continue to rise. Kids keeping going to college but so many are left unemployed after they graduate, and the job market continues to flood more and more each year. It is almost better nowadays to take up a trade than to go to college, unless you are entering a field in medical, engineering, computers, or accounting. The job market has a lot of the sales jobs that you mentioned, because they aren't good opportunities and people in these positions keep quitting, creating a high turnover rate. There aren't very many "normal" jobs in sales, no. Unfortunately, most sales-related jobs nowadays are not good opportunities, in some way, shape, or form. They either don't pay enough (like retail), or involve very high demands that most people can't handle, not to mention the constant cutting of whatever "good" sales jobs are left.

I would suggest choosing a study in something dealing with the medical field, engineering, computers, or accounting. It would also be a good idea to pick up a trade like plumbing or welding as opposed to going to college. It's sad to say, but this seems to be the way of things in our job market nowadays...Otherwise, good luck!
