my parents dont want me to leave home but should i?
Im 26, in a stable job and my wages wouldbe good enough to live on if i moved out. My 29 and 32 yr old siblings also live at home so there is 5 of us sharing 2 bedrooms - hardly convenient but my parents dont want me wasting money renting ( i.e money that could be going to them). I feel as though i ha e grown up but the 4 of them still act the same way towards each other and myself as when i was a kid so i dont feel i can truly grow up unless i seperate myself, but should i?

Of course you should move out, its your life now,go out there and live it! a decent parent raises their children to be independent and to one day leave home, that day has come, actually with all of you in one house i am surprised that you have'nt killed each other by now!

This is a perfect opportunity to move out. Your parents probably do not want to face your move because they feel as if they are losing you. However, it is important that you understand how to function in a "live on your own" situation. It is important to social skills development. Their excuse that it would be a waste of money is a little valid, but since you already have a stable job, I think you should take the opportunity. If anything was to happen, I am sure they would be happy to take you back.

tough call....I find it amazing that you all can still live under one roof but personally I guess you have to weigh out whether you truly can afford and handle being on your own and if you could handle how your parents will react if you follow through with actually moving out...

You should all be out of the family home and leading independent lives by now
How on earth do you stand it, that would drive most people round the bend,
still living with parents at their age
My 2 sons moved out at 24, my youngest is 23, and no doubt will move out shortly
