Go Kart - Mechanics?
My Dad is shipping me a go kart he put together himself, but informed me.. it doesn't turn.
It doesn't turn because it's on a single axel.
When he did make his other kart it was on a split axel, turned perfectly fine, but only had breaks on one side..
so... question is what do I need to do to get this Go Kart to turn, and break evenly?
Thanks everyone!

Karts have solid (or hollow) axles with no differentials. They turn because the steering they have raises and lowers the chassis so that the inside rear wheel lifts up in the air so the inside wheel doesn't scrub around corners.
A single brake offset on the axle is common as well. Because there is no differential stopping the axle stops both rear wheels.
