After which Resident Evil games do I watch the movies?
I've got the Resident Evil DVD collection. But I don't know which games I'm supposed to play to understand the movie's story.

You do not have to play any of the games to understand the movies because the movies have very little in common with the games, save for some of the settings, enemies and supporting characters.

The movies don't follow the games. The characters are the same except for Alice. Paul w.s anderson created his own take on the resident evil franchise.
