98 Jeep grand Cherokee electrical problem?

Interior lights won't go off.

'Key in ignition' chime goes even after you remove the key if the drivers door is open. (Only the drivers door, none of the other doors cause it.)

I removed the fuse for the interior lights. "Key in ignition" chime still sounds until you close the door, but the lights are off.

Even with the fuse removed the battery still goes dead after a while if it sits.

Ideas?

Replaced the BCM, and it's not the door switch because the chime wouldn't go off when I closed the drivers door if the switch was bad. But thanks anyway.

The Body Control module handles all of those ammenities, including power windows, locks etc! However I would start with the drivers door pin switch! This is the switch the door contacts when it is closed completely!

They are readily available as this is a common fixable issue!
