Removing gauze stuck to wound...?

Yesterday, I skined my shin just below my knee (fell from the diving block cuz I'm a swimmer). I've had some gauze (with some TAO) on it with an ace wrap since. This morning when I decided to change it, I found the gauze stuck to my leg. Is there anyway I can remove it without it hurting or causing the wound not to heal right? I don't have any pain meds I can take, and I've already tried getting it wet, and it made it sting really badly but didn't help. Is there anything else I can try? I really don't want to pull it off. I have a really low pain tolerance. So if you guys could suggest something else, that'd be great. Thanks!

Try soaking it for awhile in warm to hot water. If it does not completely come off you may need to just rip it off.
