While vegans are vegetarians I don't think I would call it 'radical vegetarianism'.

What they are attempting to do is not use any animal products or byproducts in their food, clothing, etc. - which can be quite the trick these days.

Now there are 'militant' vegans that like to attack regular vegetarians and omnivores (very few people just eat meat) for their dietary and lifestyle choices - and they can be annoying.

At the same time, it's undeniable how little concern is given to the conditions and treatment of animals in factory farms. Most people would be sick to their stomach just stepping inside of one.

I don't know that I would call it "radical", but it is a more strict form of Vegetarianism. Vegans abhor and avoid everything that is made from animals, be it food, clothing or what have you. They won't eat anything that has been prepared on the same surface as meat products and some won't even use utensils if they have come into contact with animal parts.

If God didn't want me to eat meat he shouldn't have made cows so delicious.

I'm not sure radical is the correct word. I might say extreme but, then we would just be arguing about semantics.

Yes. Vegetarianism is the bigger part, VEgan is a subset. Less strict vegetarians will use things like milk, cheese, or egss. vegan are strictly plant eaters.
