Google play old email to new email?

I have had a google play account for several years. When i started the account i had used an email address that i now no longer use and had since changed to a new yahoo account. I have tried to my google play account online and change this information but I keep getting an error saying that both emails have their own user and cannot be connected to the other. I have not set up the account for my current email so am not sure how google can say I have 2 seperate accounts using 2 seperate emails. The first email that i used years ago i have since deleted everything from it and have discontinued using it as of about 4 or so years ago. I'd like to get my email that i use now as the primary since i no longer have the info to the other email account that has been disabled. I am at a loss as to how to contact google or how to update the information on the google play account i use for my android.
