Central Air Conditioner Question.?
the condensing unit outside says R410A.
The evaporator coil says R-22 on it.
Is this why my evaporator coil is constantly freezing?

Evaporator coils freeze for the reasons already mentioned here. The mismatched coils may be the reason, maybe not, I don't know, I've never seen one. Who knows which refrigerant is inside.
No advertised hvac company or contractor would do this so it has to be some side-line weekend guy's work.
Now, it is possible that the R-22 tag you saw was on the air handler when in fact the Ecoil was changed out to 410a but the label wasn't changed. In that case, low airflow or low refrigerant are the main causes.

This is a questio . I wouldlove to aanswer. Could be bad news for you.... sorry!
There's only two reasons for the ac to freeze. Lack of air flow or low on freon. Well one more wouldbe because of the freon metering device. ( not common)
Lack of air flow. .... dirty filter, dirty coil, fan not blowing.
Low on freon. ..... this is where you couldhave a big problem. You said you have 410 outside and 22 inside. .... if you didn't have . Problem before and the unit was runnig fine. Its most likely not the metering device.
The problem could be you have a freon leak.
Its very common if you mix match units . The inside unit was made for r22 , not designed for the higher pressures of 410a. The higher pressure can destroy the inside coil.
A lot of contrators do this to save money for the home owner. But is not correct.
Get a qualified ac company to look at it. Before you burn outthe compresso. And have to spend several thousands of dollars more to replace the compressor

Yes stop trying to interchange the two it causes problems. Replace everything so it is the exact type it was intended for.
