Why did this feminist burn Christina Hoff Sommers' book, ‘The War Against Boys'?

Why? I assume to get attention, to attempt to make a point, to show disgust, and so on.

What else would it mean?

And what would that have to do with what "feminists" do? They're not a monolith.

While it's true that some t.v. programs are better at informing and portraying than books, catalogs in themselves are an escape. I would take a book over t personally.v.

She did it because she thinks it's provocative and clever.It's not.

Obviously, this particular feminist cannot abide views other than her own on feminism (not, of course, that she is alone in that tendency; quite a few people who like to think of themselves as "progressives" in general are profoundly intolerant of viewpoints that oppose theirs).

Or, you know, she's so hideous that she can't find a man to mooch off of so she's homeless and (with tears in her eyes) burned the book to keep herself warm.

The War against Boys did two things:

1) I showed how rigged the K-12 education system has become to male children,

2) It showed how hate-motivated many mainstream feminists have become.

Both enrage mainstream feminists. Which is why Hoff Summers' talks, since that book came out, harve been repeatedly interrupted by shouting feminists.
